The 64-bit version of Presentation Server was specifically designed for Windows Server 2003 x64 Editions and takes user density per server to new levels.

For new customers, the 64-bit version of Presentation Server combined with a 64-bit platform delivers the highest user density, allowing IT to significantly reduce the number of Presentation Server servers required for deployment (over the 32-bit solution) — reducing initial deployment cost and future recurring data center and maintenance costs. 

For existing customers, This 64-bit solution enables IT to expand their Presentation Server deployment to more business applications and additional user groups at a much lower cost.  It also enables server-consolidation, allowing IT to significantly reduce the number of Presentation Server servers, reducing total cost of ownership as well as recurring data center and maintenance costs.

If upgrading from Windows 2000 Server to Windows Server 2003 x64 as part of a Presentation Server deployment or upgrade, organizations may see up to 3 times more users per server.

Presentation Serverv 4.0 comes with both 32-bit and 64-bit versions so IT can mix the versions as they need and manage them together in the same server farm.
